The University of Jos Law Journal (UJLJ) is the official peer-review academic journal of the Faculty of Law, University of Jos. It was established as a scholarly platform for the advancement of legal research and jurisprudential discourse and is dedicated to publishing original, rigorous, and impactful works that contribute to the development of law, justice, and public policy in Nigeria, Africa, and the global community. As a publication of the Faculty of Law, UJLJ reflects the university's broader vision of being a globally rated institution committed to delivering excellent educational experiences with significant societal impact. It is anchored within the Faculty of Law, University of Jos, a faculty recognised for its strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and practical legal education; through this foundation, it serves as a forum for robust scholarly engagement on contemporary legal issues affecting Nigeria and beyond. The journal exists to promote high-quality legal scholarship, doctrinal and comparative legal analysis, critical jurisprudential inquiry, interdisciplinary socio-legal research, and policy and legislative reform discourse. It publishes works across diverse areas of legal scholarship, including constitutional and administrative law, international law and human rights, criminal law and justice administration, commercial and corporate law, taxation and fiscal policy, cyber law and data protection, environmental and energy law, alternative dispute resolution, and jurisprudence and legal theory. UJLJ operates a rigorous double-blind peer review system designed to ensure academic integrity and scholarly excellence, with each manuscript assessed for originality and relevance, methodological soundness, depth of legal analysis, citation compliance, and clarity of expression, strictly adhering to the NALT Uniform Citation Guide for Legal Research Writing in Nigeria.
